Enable Your Writing With A Premium Writing Pen
The beloved American author, Samuel Clemens, who lived from 1835 until 1910 and wrote under the pen name Mark Twain, did not start out life as a writer. Because of his father's death when he was age twelve, young Samuel went to work to help support he and his family. He apprenticed at a number of different professions, including printing and eventually becoming the pilot of one of the riverboats that traversed the Mississippi. When the Civil War stopped a great deal of the riverboat travel, Samuel began his writing career. He chose the name Mark Twain because it was a riverboat reference to "two fathoms deep," which meant a safe amount of water through which the large boats could travel. Clemens is noted for his works Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court, among others. In the late 1800s was the time when the first fine quality writing pens were invented. Likely Clemens was among the first to utilize the pens. Today you can enjoy the same experience as Mark Twain, and can continue to enjoy your fine pens by using replacement pen refills when the ink runs out. Pen refills keep your pens writing longer.
There are many quality fine writing pen lines available, and each offer a selection of pen refills for your use. Pens and pen refills are offered by Bosca, Cartier, Cross, Dunhill, Graf Von Faber Castell, Mont Blanc, Monte Grappa, Padrino, Parker, Visconti, Waterford and Waterman, to name only a small sample of manufacturers that provide writers the world over with their favorite pens and pen refills.
The first step, if you do not yet own a fine writing pen, is to select your favored writing instrument. You may choose from fountain pens, ballpoint pens, rollerball pens, as well as quality mechanical pencils and highlighters. Combination pens are also available that allow you to have a variety of ink colors and even pencil lead in the same pen. All of these are available with the appropriate pen refill for each type. Online pen purveyors also offer pen refills.
You might start with a fine ballpoint pen. Ballpoint refills are available in fine and medium points, and in classic ink colors such as black, blue, red and green, and these types of ballpoint refills are fairly standard for each make and model of ballpoint pen. A ballpoint refill offers an inexpensive way to maintain your new pen, and you can keep a ballpoint refill on hand so that you do not run out of ink at a crucial moment.
Many people also like the smooth flow of rollerball pens, and a variety of rollerball refill options abound. Mont Blanc, for example, offers a rollerball refill for each of the pen lines they offer, as well as for their fountain pens. Pen refills come in cartridges for fountain pens, and these are attached to the nib, so that the pen refill ink flows out of the pen properly.
